Today Tonight Forever
One wedding weekend means one dramatic reunion in this emotional, layered novel about love, grief, and moving on.
When thirty-three-year-old Athena Matthias is asked—yet again—to be a bridesmaid, she’s not exactly enthusiastic about the idea. Still reeling from a messy divorce from her wife and the grief of losing her father, she’s never felt less inclined to celebrate love, preferring instead to escape into the literary world she studies as an English professor. But Athena is not great at saying no, especially to one of her oldest friends.
As the wedding weekend commences on the gorgeous beaches of Watercolor, Florida, for the first time in ages, Athena finds herself surrounded by people who know and love her. There’s the bride, nervous about an old relationship; a groomsman grappling with a big mistake; Athena’s mother, ready to date again; and even a potential new romantic interest.
But just as Athena begins to feel herself opening up again, an unexpected guest from the past throws the entire wedding party into chaos. By the time the cake is cut and the ultimate betrayal is revealed, Athena must find the courage to forgive—both others and herself—and embrace the beauty of a chance to move forward.

“Dazzling! The story unfolds at a seaside wedding where memories, secrets, the reverberations of mistakes, and the hope for renewal collide. Madeline Kay Sneed beautifully traces how relationships of all kinds construct us, take us down, and tether us through the ebb and flow of time filtered through our interconnected lives. Readers will love these flawed, tender characters and the way they strive for wholeness, connection, and grace.”

About Madeline
Madeline Kay Sneed was born and raised in Houston, Texas, a city she dearly loves, despite its sports franchises so frequently breaking her heart. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Baylor University and her Master of Fine Arts degree in Fiction from Emerson College. She writes about the intersection of queerness and faith, which is the obsession of most of her writing. When she’s not doing that, Madeline loves spending time outside with her friends and family in Texas.
